We Bought Plane Tickets

Here we go!

Hello dear friends and family,

It is time to adventure! We are excited to share that we have purchased our plane tickets! We fly to Germany on February 28, 2026. We arrive in Kandern on March 1st and will be greeted by our BFA host family. They will pick us up from the airport, orient us to our apartment, and help us get settled. For the first few weeks this will include setting up a bank account, navigating the town and the grocery store, obtaining our driver’s licenses, and going to the registration office to retrieve our workers visas. We will leave Colorado with approximately 12 checked bags.

At this present moment, we are 98% monthly supported and in awe of God’s provision!

When we bought the plane tickets the gravity, exhilaration, and emotions all swept in. This is perhaps the busiest month of our lives. And we are experiencing so many feelings! But God is our Rock and source of ultimate peace.

Adelaide's Addition

As you can see, Adelaide is already helping us pack…

And she turned 1 year old! We had a small birthday party for her with our families, and it was SO much fun! She delighted in the decorations, cake, and presents, but most of all loved having her family around her. We had a “smash cake” for her and discovered that Adelaide is a dainty little lady. She enjoyed eating her cake one fingertip at a time. Very proper and civilized.

However, despite her lady-like tendencies, she is a brave and fearless girl! Adelaide discovered the stairs and is a fast climber up and scooter down. She also loves to launch herself down the playground slide headfirst.

Prayer Requests

Praise: Our visas are ready, our housing is obtained, and teammates will receive us in country.

Prayer: That in the midst of completing the to-do list we will walk in step with the Spirit…practicing love, gentleness, and kindness to one another.

Praise: Our sending church covered us in prayer before departure, and we felt loved and cared for.

Prayer: For friendships in our new home and grace as we immerse ourselves in the German language.
